Why does my Deodorant seem less effective than it used to?Updated 5 months ago
Great question! The short answer is that the formula itself doesn't lose potency over time. Underarm odor is actually driven more by biology than sweat alone. Sweat is mostly odorless, but odor forms when skin bacteria break it down. Changes in stress, diet, hormones, activity level, climate, or even laundry products can shift your underarm microbiome, which can make odor show up faster than it used to.
Since our Deodorant is aluminum-free, it doesn't block sweat ducts like a traditional antiperspirant. Instead, it works by absorbing moisture and targeting odor-causing bacteria. If bacterial activity increases, reapplying during the day may become more necessary—even though the product is working exactly as designed!
A few tips that can help:
- Apply to clean, fully dry underarms
- Let it set for a minute before getting dressed
- Reapply as needed on more active or high-stress days
